• PRODUCT INFORMATION
What material are the rim protectors made of?
The AlloyGator product is made of a “Super Tough Nylon” which is flexible and wont damage your alloy wheels during fitting, but tough enough to give superior protection.
How Permanent is the Colour?
Consistant colour is maintained thoughout the product, which means that the colour is fully maintained after damage has been rectified. We recommend you regularly clean your wheels and AlloyGators with normal car shampoo or universal wheel cleaners suitable for delicate finishes like chrome. Avoid the harsh cleaners and thick, brush-on tyre shines used by some hand car-washes.
How do I remove my alloygators?
To remove the profile simply jack up the car, fully deflate the tyre, remove the plastic joining clip and carefully prise the profile up around the joint area. Firmly tap the face of the AlloyGator using a rubber mallet on the side which has the hole in it. This will then release the glue and open up the joint. Once the joint is open carefully prise the profile out of its seated position from the tyre side of the wheel, starting with the end without the hole and using a tyre lever or flat bladed screwdriver along the side and under the profile, prising in an upward motion. Once the end of the profile is free from the wheel and tyre then carefully pull it out from its position across the tyre wall in an outward motion in order to prevent any damage to the wheel from the stainless steel clips
What is the fitting method?
The AlloyGator is locked to the wheel over 360° using highly robust patented technology. Please view our fitting video on our home page for further advice.
Have they been tested at speed?
They have been tested under normal driving conditions and within the legal speed limit.
• TYRES AND SUITABILITY
Can they be used on run-flat tyres?
Yes they can be used on run-flat tyres, view our gallery to see cars already fitted with AlloyGators on run-flats. Fitting to run-flats will require heavier force and we always recommend visiting one of our trained fitters for a supply and fit service.
Are some wheel/tyre combinations better suited than others?
Yes some wheel/tyre combinations do work better than others. View the gallery close up photos to see what wheel/tyre combination work best. Every set of AlloyGators includes a suitability gauge which should be used to determine suitability prior to attempting to fit the product. If you are unsure, please visit our network of trained fitters for advice.
Can they be re-used if you have new tyres?
The profiles can generally be re-fitted to the same wheels if you have new tyres, provided that they have not sustained heavy impact and all old glue residue is removed in order that the join can be effectively re-joined. We do not recommend re-fitting damaged profiles.
Do they affect the inflation of the tyre?
If fitted correctly they will not affect the inflation of the tyre. We recommend checking your tyre pressures 1 hour after fitting to ensure correct fitting and at regular intervals as recommended in your operating manual.
Can AlloyGator be used on Machine Polished/Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels?
The “AlloyGator” alloy wheel rim protectors are not recommended for machine polished or diamond cut alloy wheels. Although fitting the product will provide superior protection against kerb damage, due to existing imperfections in the lacquered wheel surface our product may increase the risk of moisture retention and accelerate wheel degradation. Providing there is no minute damage to the wheel surface, fitting the "AlloyGator" wheel rim protectors will not cause damage on its own, however AlloyGator Limited accepts no liability if the product when fitted causes such damage. Taking the above into account, we do still have many customers with machine polished wheels, that choose to use alloygators to protect their wheels.
• POSTAGE AND DELIVERY
How quickly are goods delivered?
We dispatch all orders within three working days from the date of order via your chosen delivery method. Next Day delivery requests received before 1.30pm will be despatched on the same day.
How you compute the total shipping costs?
Shipping costs are directly related to the weight of the package. In addition, we factor in an additional amount to cover packing materials, and any special handling considerations that may be required to ship the package.
Do you send packages COD (Cash On Delivery)?
AlloyGator Ltd does not accept COD orders. All orders must be pre-paid.
I placed my order last week, why haven't I seen it yet?
We dispatch all orders within three working days from the date of order when standard delivery is selected. If your order has been placed with us for more than ten days and you have not received the product please contact us via our online contact form. If you selected and paid for Next Day delivery and you have not received your parcel then please refer to the tracking details which will have been emailed to you. Alternatively contact us using the contact form and we will be happy to contact our courier on your behalf.
How can I track the status of my order/shipment?
If you selected and paid for Next Day delivery, you will have received an email containing your tracking information. Standard delivery can take up to ten days to arrive. If you have been waiting longer than this then please contact us using our on-line contact form.

How do I return my item?

Can we get club discounts?

Will you be doing more colours?

Do AlloyGator prices include vat?
Yes, all our prices include VAT at the standard rate.
Which cards do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa debit and credit cards, as well as Delta, Maestro debit cards and switch. Payments can also be made using PayPal.
Will my order include a sales receipt?
Yes, a sales receipt is enclosed with all orders prior to shipping.
Can I get a VAT receipt?
Each order is shipped with a sales receipt including VAT information.

Will fitting AlloyGators affect my insurance?
The AlloyGator rim protector is not deemed a performance enhancing product and fitting them to your vehicle should not affect your vehicle insurance premium, however we would recommend you speak to your insurance Company to discuss your own individual requirements
